	<strong>Parts Bulletin (April 25, 2014)</strong> - IPD now offers Cylinder Kits and components for C15 Industrial applications. IPD has a great deal of experience manufacturing high quality replacement parts for a wide range of Caterpillar brand engine applications, and IPD continues to lead the aftermarket with a growing range of parts for the popular C-series engine line.

These new kits include a new IPDSteel® friction welded piston design (patent pending), which features an integral cooling oil reservoir formed in the crown, providing the following benefits:
</p><p>
<li>Improved crown strength & flex resistance, particularly at the sealing ring area</li>
<li> Superior protection against excessive oil consumption, operating temperatures, & combustion blow-by
</li>
<li> Improved design over one-piece piston designs with two-piece oil dam inserts</li></p><p>
These kits are available with a standard OE style liner, and also with IPD’s innovative IPDStyle® Crevice Seal Liner for superior performance. The crevice seal is a wide rectangular shape seal placed into a special tapered liner groove, which provides a wider contact surface deeper into the engine block for improved sealing, and a wedge effect when the liner is installed for securing the liner firmly in place, thus minimizing liner movement.</p><p>

	<strong>Quality/Performance/Value - </strong>IPD gauges provide high quality, reliable performance, and

chrome-plated bezels, and black faceplates with easy-to-read markings.

	<strong>All Gauges Are Not Made Alike - </strong>Hidden behind the decorative faceplates, some gauges are
less sophisticated and of lower quality. In the examples below (#1W0705), on
the left is an aftermarket gauge, and on the right is IPD’s version.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	On the left, a very basic mechanism… on the right, a more sophisticated mechanical
design capable of precise measurements as calibrated at the factory. On the
left, the mechanism is attached to the faceplate using inexpensive rivets… on
the right, IPD’s mechanism is more securely attached with coated screws, providing
a secure connection that is more resistant to vibration. On the left, the faceplate
is coated only on the front… on the right, IPD’s is coated on both sides for
added protection.&nbsp;

<p>
	In the lower photos, the indicator tension spring on the left
is poorly positioned and protruding forward. On the right, IPD’s spring is more
securely positioned. Lastly, the gauge on the left does not have indicator arm
positioning stops to secure the arm sweep within the defined measurement range,
versus IPD’s version which includes stops for both ends of the measurement range.

<strong>Torrance, California (January 31, 2014)</strong> - Industrial Parts Depot (IPD), LLC of Torrance, California (USA), and BU Drive USA, Inc., a BU Drive group company (BU Drive GmbH is based in Germany), are excited to announce the creation of a joint venture (JV) company named IPD Turbocharging Systems&trade;. This new organization will focus on sales and service for the
distribution of BorgWarner, Holset, IHI, and Mitsubishi turbochargers, and will provide IPD Remanufactured Turbos.</p><p>
Russell Kneipp, President of IPD, states, "Turbochargers are a core component for the servicing requirements of IPD's global distribution network, and are an ideal complement to IPD's growing
product portfolio. IPD has been involved for decades in the turbocharging industry, and this new JV with BU Drive USA (a technology and quality driven company) provides IPD with the opportunity to offer our customers a range of turbochargers with the level of service and quality that they demand."</p><p>
